Whether it comes from near or far, Coyuchi goods are always organic, minimally processed, and sustainably made.
Germany
As with its automobile industry, Germany’s textile manufacturers are known for engineering, precision and attention to detail. While it costs a bit more to produce items here, the beauty and quality of German-made items are second to none. Germany is also leading the way for cleaner manufacturing by restricting the use of harmful chemical inputs.
India
India has one of the greatest textile traditions in the world. Indians have been growing, weaving and sewing cotton textiles for hundreds of years, and now have some of the highest-quality production facilities in the world. It is also home to the highest number of GOTS certified facilities worldwide, with an organic cotton farming industry maintained primarily by rain fed, small holder farms.
Portugal
Although known more traditionally for their fiber production, Portugal is also a leading European textiles manufacturer. With a reputation for quality craftsmanship and soft, supple fabrics, the Portuguese are an important partner in producing some of our most beautiful sheets, blankets and robes.
Turkey
Renowned for its distinctive towels and rugs, Turkey has a long history of growing, weaving and dyeing high-quality cotton. It is one of the world’s leading producers of organic cotton, and specializes in plush, long staple cotton from the Aegean region.
U.S.A.
In addition to our world tour of sustainable textile experts, we still work to partner with sources right here on American soil. For example, our American-crafted Climate Beneficial Wool Mattress Topper, Insert, and Dryer Balls are filled with wool sourced from farms only 60 miles from our office that have committed to carbon farm plans in partnership with Fibershed. One of our Coyuchi classics, the Tahoe Wool Blanket is sourced from American ranches certified under the Responsible Wool Standard, then sent to a dye house that’s been running since 1869, and is currently under the direction of a fourth generation weaver. We also source all of our down and feathers from a single supplier in Indiana who is audited against strict animal-welfare criteria.
